In the Muslim world, hundreds of thousands of Muslims are coming to Christ. According to the Islamic laws/practices of many Islamic countries, these converts face imprisonment, torture and even death simply because they have chosen to follow Jesus.
In Yemen, in just the last few months, 7 to 9 converts to Christianity have been imprisoned ICC press release #11, ICC press release #22, Fox News story3) by the Yemeni secret police (The Political Security Office headed by Colonel Ghaleb Al Qamish). The secret police are very brutal and have killed a number of Yemenis. They report to the country’s president who gives them protection from any criminal liability for their actions.
As you read this, these Christian brothers and sisters in Yemen are in prison under the control of the secret police. If we do nothing, they will remain in prison. We have seen these campaigns lead to the release of prisoners in the past and know that your involvement can lead to the release of these Christians as well.
Don’t Wait.
Here’s How You Can Help
#1 Pray: The first thing you can do to help is stop right now and ask the Lord to open the prison doors.
#2 Next, review our petition4. Yemeni officials are concerned about their relationship with the United States and other Western countries, so when Westerners shout, they will listen. We have also found that evil prefers to stay in hiding and when we shine the light on it, it runs.
So help us to shine the light on the Yemeni secret police.
#3 Electronically sign the petition by going to: https://app.etapestry.com/hosted/InternationalChristianConcer/OnlineSignupTwo.html
#4 Print out the petition4 and take it to your church and have everyone you know sign it. Send it back to us so we can present it to Yemeni officials.
Feel free to print out extra signature pages for lots of sign ups. When you have collected all your signatures, please
PO Box 10277
Silver Spring, MD 20914-0277
or fax them to us (301-989-1709). Please get them back to us by October 15.
#5 Forward this email to all your email contacts and ask them to do the same.
